I run half termly courses aimed at women who are struggling with pelvic floor issues. 

 

Pelvic floor issues commonly rear their head either during and after pregnancy or through peri and post menopause. One US study published earlier in 2022 surveying over 25,000 women found that 1/4 had at least one issue related to their pelvic floor.  And 50% of menopausal women suffer from stress urinary incontinence. 

My course is created to work intensively on improving your symptoms over 6 weeks. We'll meet in a small group of no more than 5 students, once a week face to face.

 

In between, you'll have 10-15 minutes of homework exercises to complete every day based on the work we have done in class.

 

There will be homework videos to follow along, in a private Facebook group which also offers additional information and support, as well as the opportunity to ask questions and connect with others if you wish to.

The work we do will be a combination of breathing exercises, Pilates, hypopressives, functional exercises (these are exercises that mimic every day actions such as sitting down and getting up from a chair, climbing the stairs etc), and stretching / mobilising areas of tension in the body.

 

You will also learn about how nutrition, stress and fluid intake also affect the pelvic floor.

 

All the equipment you need for the course will be provided and is yours to keep.

 

My objective for everyone who attends my course is that they leave with the skills and confidence to manage their own symptoms in the future should they reoccur.
